STATIONERY SETS
for BARNES & NOBLE and PAPER SOURCE | Packaging Design, Typography, Print Production
Designed to complement the stationery within, each box incorporates art elements pulled from the individual cards across the lid and base, creating a cohesive and polished connection between the packaging and the stationery inside. This approach gives each box its own distinct personality, ranging from elegant and traditional to modern and trend-driven, while allowing the collection to appeal to a variety of styles and interests. Because the boxes were designed to double as decorative keepsakes, I kept the packaging itself free of product information and instead created a removable bellyband featuring thumbnails of each card along with any necessary details.
Notice the lack of plastic? There are a lot of stationery sets packaged in plain, plastic boxes with a printed marketing piece placed on the back. With this set, we were able to fully avoid plastic by designing into lidded and hinged paper boxes.
